Message from the President
As the 32nd President of Jackson (MS) Alumnae Chapter, I welcome you to our official website. We are happy that you have chosen this opportunity to visit the website to learn more about our chapter.
I extend greetings on behalf of Jackson (MS) Alumnae Chapter, the first chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. chartered in the State of Mississippi. Chartered on May 3, 1941, as Alpha Chi Sigma Chapter, we are celebrating 68 years of service in the Jackson community.
Community service, educational development, political involvement and racial uplift were the areas of focus of the chapter in the early years. More than 60 years later, we have continued to provide unwavering service in the sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health Awareness and Political Awareness and Involvement.
